David A. Sinclair (Officer of the Order of Australia, AO) is a professor in the Genetics Department at Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA. In 2020, his lab was the first to show that aging can be safely reversed in an animal to cure blindness, a discovery that has led to a multi-billion-dollar industry aiming to treat human diseases and extend lifespan by controlling the aging process. David is president of the Academy for Health and Lifespan Research and is also co-founder of the scientific journal Aging.
He obtained a BS and a PhD in Sydney Australia, then moved to MIT where he discovered why yeast cells age, the first proven cause of aging for any organism.
