Per L. Bylund, PhD, is associate professor of Entrepreneurship and the Johnny D. Pope Chair in the Spears School of Business at Oklahoma State University.
Bylund earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, and a Master's Degree in Business Informatics, both at the Jönköping International Business School. While pursuing his career in IT, Bylund studied Political Science at Stockholm University. He later earned a Master's Degree in Political Theory at Lund University and a PhD in Applied Economics at the University of Missouri, US.
He is a senior fellow of the Mises Institute and an associated researcher with the Ratio Institute in Stockholm, Sweden, and has previously held faculty positions at Baylor University and the University of Missouri.
Dr. Bylund is the author of three books (The Problem of Production: A New Theory of the Firm; The Seen, the Unseen, and the Unrealized: How Regulations Affect Our Everyday Lives; and How to Think about the Economy: A Primer) and editor of two scholarly volumes and also serves as field editor of the Journal of Business Venturing and associate editor of the Quarterly Journal of Austrian Economics. He has published 40 articles in peer-reviewed journals and over 60 columns for Entrepreneur magazine.
