Five-time Academy Award winning filmmaker Alfonso Cuarón is a Mexican film director, screenwriter, producer, cinematographer, and editor who is internationally renowned for fluid and transcendent storytelling across a range of genres. He got three Academy Awards for his direction and cinematography of Netflix's Roma, which also took home the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film and was nominated for ten Academy Awards.

Cuarón previously received two Academy Awards for directing and editing Gravity, which he also co-wrote with his son Jonás. Most recently, he produced Alice Rohrwacher's short-film Le Pupille, which was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film in 2023. Cuarón is the second person to be recognized in seven different Oscar categories, a record only broken by Kenneth Branagh in 2022.

Cuarón's credits include Children of Men, Y tu mamá también, Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban, Great Expectations, and A Little Princess. As part of a multi-year overall deal with Apple, Cuarón's Esperanto Filmoj is currently in production on the Apple TV+ thriller series Disclaimer, starring Cate Blanchett and Kevin Kline. Cuarón is also co-writing a screenplay with his son Jonás, A Boy and His Shoe; and will write, direct, and executive produce the horror and drama series Ascension. At present, he continues to collaborate with longtime partner Anonymous Content.
