Dr. Vivienne Ming is a neuroscientist who co-founded the mad science incubator Socos Labs with her wife, Dr. Norma Ming. She is interested in how to maximize human capacity as a neuroscientific theory and in seemingly intractable problems, from the disability of a lonely child to global economic inclusion.

She started her professional life as a visiting scholar at UC Berkeley's Redwood Center for Theoretical Neuroscience pursuing her research in cognitive neuroprosthetics. Vivienne Ming works to design AI systems to help treat her son's diabetes,predict manic episodes in bipolar sufferers.

She is an advisor to Credit Suisse, Cornerstone Capital and BayesImpact. Her research and inventions have been published and reviewed in The Financial Times, The Atlantic, Quartz Magazine and the New York Times. Vivienne was named one of "10 Women to Watch in Tech" by Inc. Magazine and one of the BBC’s 100 Women in 2017.
