Lorena Ramírez Nahueachi is a Mexican long-distance and ultra-distance runner belonging to the Tarahumara or Rarámuri ethnic group. She has won several national and international races.
In the Tenerife Bluetrail race, in the Canary Islands, Spain, of more than one hundred kilometers, she stood out among the 2,400 runners from 38 countries by achieving third place in her category, after covering 102 kilometers with a time of 20 hours, 11 minutes and 37 seconds.
She has triumphed on five different occasions in the Guachochi ultramarathon, Chihuahua, in Mexico. In the Caballo Blanco ultramarathon in the municipality of Urique, also in Chihuahua, she won third and second places.
Likewise, she participated in the Born to Run 2022 Ultra Marathon, together with her siblings Antonio and Talina, in the city of Los Olivos, California, United States, obtaining second place and, in October of that same year, in Burgohondo Spain, she achieved third place.
In June 2023, she participated in Innsbruck, Austria. She was also invited by UNESCO in Azerbaijan. In September of the same year, she reached first place in the 42-kilometer Ultra Trail Sierra de Laurel, in Calvillo, Aguascalientes, Mexico.
Lorena has been featured in US Vogue magazine as an international ultramarathon runner. Her Foundation seeks a better life for her community.
