The first Mexican to be part of the Blue Origin NS-21 mission



In 2022 Katya Echazarreta became the first Latin American woman to join the Blue Origin NS-21 mission to travel into space. She is an Electrical Engineer from the University of California (UCLA) and is currently pursuing a Master's in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Johns Hopkins University.

She is the host of several popular television segments, including "Mission Unstoppable" with Miranda Cosgrove. Since her space flight, she has decided to continue her humanitarian work in support of a stronger Space Industry and Space Agency in Mexico.

Katya has plans to develop a space research center in Mexico as well as a foundation to support space related activities in Latin America.
