In 2023, the city of Puebla once again welcomed the Festival de las Ideas with the motto "Ideas que liberan" (in English "Ideas that liberate") from March 9 to 11, at the Metropolitan Auditorium of Puebla, to host the most relevant figures around the economy, freedom, innovation, health, education, leadership and art. For this edition, extraordinary speakers were invited, including the producer, film director and marine explorer James Cameron; innovation expert Jeremy Gutsche; clinical psychologist and belief architect Jordan Peterson; one of the world's top 50 business thinkers Dorie Clark; strategist, digital anthropologist and technology book author Rahaf Harfoush; the first Latin American woman to join the Blue Origin NS-21 space mission Katya Echazarreta; the Australian businessman whose life has been a source of inspiration Saroo Brierley; the revolutionary gatherer of planetary resources to make humanity a multiplanetary society Naveen Jain; Professor of Applied Economics at MIT Daron Acemoglu; and nutritional anthropology pioneer investigating the impact of food on human health Eric Edmeades.
